Mystery Dial

Mystery Dial watches are typical watches that have a mysterious look usually by means of showing time with rotating discs instead of hands. The first examples appeared approximately in the 1920's (Melik Mido first right) in which additional gears from the minute wheel moved the discs. The biggest evolution of these watches appeared in the 1950/1960's when new transparent plastics became popular. This allowed swapping standard hands to discs without any complicated movement modifications. Check the gallery for some examples.
